The full comparison

Product tabs look like a small detail until you open your own product page on a phone. A long description with shipping rules, a size chart, care instructions and a returns paragraph turns into a wall of text that shoppers scroll past. Folding that content into tabs or accordions keeps the buy button visible and lets people open only the part they care about.

Most Shopify themes ship with a basic collapsible block, but it has to be filled product by product, and it rarely handles shared content well. That is the gap both apps on this page try to fill. Neither is a household name: Trusted Product Tabs had 94 reviews and EasySlide 165 reviews when we checked their App Store listings on October 19, 2026. Both hold a 5.0 rating and both carry the Built for Shopify badge, which means Shopify reviewed them for performance and design. So the choice is not about quality signals. It is about pricing model, layout options and how you plan to manage content across your catalog.

Who makes these two apps

Trusted Product Tabs with AI

Trusted Product Tabs is published by Trusted apps, a developer based in Kaunas, Lithuania. The app went live on the Shopify App Store on March 17, 2023, which makes it the younger of the two by more than seven years. The listing positions it around three ideas: show content as a vertical accordion or horizontal tabs, reuse the same content across many products through shared tabs, and write SEO product descriptions with a ChatGPT based AI tool. Reviews often mention the developer helping with setup in person, and several reviewers point to the one-time lifetime price as the reason they picked it.

EasySlide Accordion tabs & FAQ

EasySlide is made by NexusMedia, listed in Warsaw, Poland. It launched on November 2, 2015, so it has been on the App Store for close to eleven years. As the name says, it focuses on accordions: product description accordions plus accordion widgets for FAQ pages. Its own product page explains that headings in a description are turned into accordion panel titles, with the text below each heading becoming the panel content. It also documents static panels for delivery or payment information that you can push to all products, a few collections or a single product.

Layout: tabs, accordions and FAQ pages

This is the first real fork between the two apps.

Trusted Product Tabs lets you choose between a vertical accordion and horizontal tabs. Horizontal tabs work well on desktop for stores with three or four short sections (Description, Specs, Shipping, Reviews), while the accordion suits mobile and longer content. Having both in one app is handy if you are still testing which layout your shoppers prefer.

EasySlide is built around accordions. The listing and the developer site describe accordion widgets, collapsed or opened panels, the option to allow several panels open at once, and settings for the glyph (the small arrow or plus sign) and its position. A horizontal tab layout is not listed on its App Store page, so if you specifically want desktop tabs side by side, Trusted Product Tabs is the safer pick.

The FAQ side goes the other way. EasySlide has a dedicated FAQ page feature, and its site describes automatic FAQ generation from headings and text. Trusted Product Tabs does not list an FAQ page widget. If you want one app to handle both product page tabs and a store FAQ page, EasySlide covers both jobs.

Creating and reusing content

Shared content

Shared content is where these apps save real time. A shipping and returns block that appears on 300 products should be written once.

On Trusted Product Tabs, the free plan includes unlimited product tabs but only one shared tab. The paid plans unlock unlimited shared tabs. For many small stores one shared tab is enough, typically a "Shipping and returns" block, but the moment you want a second shared block (say, a size guide for apparel only) you need to upgrade.

EasySlide includes unlimited shared and product accordions in its single paid plan. Its listing says accordions can be applied to all products, to selected collections or to individual products. Collection targeting is a practical advantage for mixed catalogs: one size chart for shoes, another for tops, a care guide only for leather goods. Trusted Product Tabs describes sharing content across multiple products but does not explicitly list collection-based rules on its page.

Building tabs from your existing descriptions

If you already have hundreds of descriptions with headings in them, automatic conversion matters. EasySlide's documentation states that each heading becomes a panel title and the text underneath becomes the panel body, which means a clean description can turn into an accordion without retyping anything. On Trusted Product Tabs, one listing screenshot is captioned "Automatically create tabs from product description", but the feature is not spelled out in the text or the plan list, so treat it as something to test during the trial.

Rich content

EasySlide lists HTML, a rich text editor, custom URLs and images among its editing tools. Trusted Product Tabs does not list its editor capabilities in the same detail, so we cannot confirm HTML or image support from its listing alone.

AI descriptions

This one is clear cut. Trusted Product Tabs includes an AI tool that writes SEO product descriptions, available on the paid plans. EasySlide has no AI writing feature listed. If you are launching a catalog and need first drafts fast, that is a genuine plus for Trusted Product Tabs, though any AI text still needs a human edit before it goes live.

Integrations with review and sizing apps

A common use of tabs is to put reviews in their own panel instead of a long block at the bottom of the page.

Trusted Product Tabs lists Judge.me and Loox under "Works with". EasySlide lists Judge.me, Kudobuzz, Loox, Ryviu, Sized and Yotpo, and its website adds more names such as Kiwi Sizing and Rivyo. If you run Yotpo reviews or a sizing app, EasySlide has documented compatibility where Trusted Product Tabs does not. For Judge.me or Loox users, both are covered.

Design and accessibility

Both apps offer design templates and color and font controls. EasySlide goes further on paper: custom fonts and colors per state (active, inactive, content area), borders, padding and custom CSS. Trusted Product Tabs lists "extensive design settings" on the free plan and design templates, but custom CSS is not listed on its App Store page.

On accessibility, Trusted Product Tabs says its tabs and accordions are WCAG 2.0 compliant. EasySlide claims WCAG 2.0 and Section 508 compliance. Both mention SEO friendly markup. Neither listing gives a technical breakdown, so if accessibility is a legal requirement for you, run your own audit on a test product after install.

Pricing and total cost

Here the two apps take opposite approaches.

Trusted Product Tabs has four options: a free plan, $4.99 per month, $49.99 per year or $89 once for lifetime access. The monthly and yearly plans come with a 7-day free trial. The lifetime plan includes the same features as the monthly one.

EasySlide has one plan: $5 per month after a 7-day free trial, with no free tier, no yearly discount and no lifetime option. Over twelve months that is $60.

Put side by side:

Time frame

Trusted Product Tabs

EasySlide

First year, paid features

$49.99 (yearly) or $89 (lifetime)

$60

Two years

$89 (lifetime)

$120

Three years

$89 (lifetime)

$180

If you keep the app longer than about 18 months, the lifetime plan on Trusted Product Tabs is the cheapest route by a wide margin. And if one shared tab is enough, you may never pay at all. EasySlide is still inexpensive, but the bill keeps running.

Support, docs and track record

EasySlide's developer site points to a help center with guides on building an FAQ page and adding accordions, and states that support works 24/7 and can help customize the accordion. Trusted Product Tabs does not link to documentation from its listing; support is provided by the developer, and reviews frequently describe direct help with setup.

On track record, EasySlide has been maintained since 2015 and has 165 reviews, all five stars on its listing. Trusted Product Tabs is newer (2023) with 94 reviews, also all five stars. Neither has a public complaint pattern on its listing. The age gap matters mostly if you value a long history over newer features like AI.

Admin languages also differ: EasySlide's interface is available in eight languages (English, Chinese Simplified and Traditional, Dutch, French, German, Portuguese Brazil and Spanish). Trusted Product Tabs lists English only.

Three stores, three answers

A new apparel brand on a tight budget

You have 40 products, one shipping and returns policy and no budget for apps yet. Trusted Product Tabs on the free plan gives you unlimited product tabs plus that one shared shipping block. If you later want AI help writing descriptions for a new drop, the yearly plan at $49.99 covers it. EasySlide would cost $5 a month from day one for features you do not need yet.

A home goods store with several product families

You sell lighting, textiles and furniture, each with its own care instructions and delivery information. You also want a proper FAQ page because support keeps answering the same questions. EasySlide fits better: collection targeting lets you attach the right panel to each family, unlimited shared accordions are included, and the FAQ page widget handles the help center. The $60 per year is easily justified by fewer support tickets.

An established brand that wants a clean desktop layout

You have long, structured descriptions and you want horizontal tabs on desktop (Description, Materials, Shipping, Reviews) with Loox reviews in the last tab. Trusted Product Tabs supports horizontal tabs and lists Loox compatibility. Taking the $89 lifetime plan avoids another monthly line on your app bill.

Moving from one app to the other

Neither app lists an import or export tool, so plan a manual migration.

From EasySlide to Trusted Product Tabs: copy your shared panels (shipping, returns, size guides) into shared tabs first. Remember that the free plan only allows one, so pick a paid plan if you had several. Then rebuild product-specific tabs, test the horizontal or accordion layout on two or three products, and only then uninstall EasySlide. If you used the EasySlide FAQ page, you will need another solution for it, since Trusted Product Tabs does not list one.

From Trusted Product Tabs to EasySlide: if your product descriptions already use clean headings, EasySlide's heading conversion can rebuild panels quickly. Recreate shared tabs as static panels and assign them by collection where it makes sense. Check that your review app (Judge.me or Loox) appears correctly in its panel before removing the old app.

In both cases, remove any leftover app block from the theme editor after uninstalling, and check page speed on a product page afterwards. Our guide on how many Shopify apps is too many explains why leftover scripts matter.

Before you install either one

Tabs are a container. What you put inside them decides whether they help conversion. A clear returns block inside a tab can do as much as a badge; our article on how your return policy page affects conversions covers what to write. If you add an FAQ, consider marking it up properly for search, as explained in our Shopify schema markup guide.
