The full comparison

Most Shopify merchants shopping for a review app end up on the same three or four names, and the second row of the App Store gets ignored. That is a shame, because two of the most interesting product review apps launched in the last few years sit exactly there. Rapid Reviews and Quoli both carry the Built for Shopify badge, both have near perfect ratings, and both collect photo reviews, answer customer questions and feed star ratings to Google. Yet they come from opposite philosophies: one is a lean, speed obsessed tool built by a single developer, the other is a funded team turning reviews into marketing material.

This page looks at both apps as they are listed on the Shopify App Store and on their own websites in October 2026. Every price and feature below comes from those pages, linked in the sources. When a feature is not listed, we say so instead of guessing.

Who is behind each app

Rapid Reviews by William Belk

Rapid Reviews: Product Reviews is published by William Belk, a developer based in Las Vegas, Nevada. The app launched on the Shopify App Store on May 9, 2022 and currently shows a 5.0 rating from 115 reviews, with every single rating at five stars. It is listed in two categories, Product reviews and FAQ, which already hints at its positioning: reviews and questions live in the same widget.

The pitch is performance. The developer site claims the widget sends about 12 KB to the browser in a single request and renders stars in roughly 0.4 seconds, and compares that to much heavier review apps. Those numbers come from the developer's own testing, so treat them as a claim rather than an independent benchmark. What is verifiable is the design choice behind them: no jQuery dependency, theme app blocks for setup, and one request on page load.

Merchant reviews keep coming back to two points: it is a low cost alternative to the big review platforms, and the developer answers support requests personally. One recent review notes that setup can be a little trickier because there are many options, and that some advanced configuration needed the developer's help.

Quoli by Quoli Inc.

Quoli Product Reviews & UGC is published by Quoli Inc., based in Denver, Colorado. It launched on October 6, 2023, so it is the younger of the two, and it shows a 4.9 rating from 43 reviews (41 five star, one four star, one one star). The listing is available in ten languages, including French, Spanish, German and Japanese.

Quoli's angle is that reviews are marketing assets. Beyond the usual widgets, it turns reviews into "nuggets", social banners and UGC ads, adds AI summaries and sentiment analysis on higher plans, and connects to Klaviyo, Meta and TikTok. Recent reviews from September and October 2026 praise the team's responsiveness and the help received when migrating from Judge.me. The only negative review on the page, from October 2025, criticized the design options and customization; the team replied offering help with widget setup.

Pricing: two opposite models

This is where the comparison gets interesting, because neither app is cheaper across the board. The answer depends on how many orders your store processes each month.

Rapid Reviews: every feature, priced by order volume

Rapid Reviews has no free plan. It offers a 21 day free trial, then charges according to monthly orders, with all features included on every tier:

The App Store listing shows the first four tiers; the higher ones are on the developer's pricing page. Installation support is included on every tier, and tiers from $99 include custom white glove installation.

Quoli: free plan, features unlock by tier

Quoli has a free forever plan covering 100 monthly orders and 100 review requests, with photo reviews, Q&A, the full widget library, store reviews, QR codes and rich snippets. Paid plans come with a 14 day trial:

Note that the Advanced plan appears on quoli.io but not on the App Store listing at the time of checking. Quoli also states that once the request limit is reached, requests pause and you are never charged for going over.

What it costs at your size

  • Under 20 orders a month: Quoli is free, Rapid Reviews costs $3. Quoli wins on price, but Rapid Reviews already includes video reviews and Google Shopping at that price.
  • 100 to 400 orders: Rapid Reviews costs $8 with everything. Quoli Starter is $10 but has no Google Shopping feed; that needs Growth at $30.
  • 401 to 800 orders: Rapid Reviews $19, Quoli $10 (Starter) or $30 (Growth).
  • 801 to 2,000 orders: Rapid Reviews $49, Quoli $10 up to 1,000 orders, then $30 up to 5,000.
  • 2,000 to 5,000 orders: Rapid Reviews $99, Quoli Growth $30. Quoli is clearly cheaper here.
  • 5,000 to 16,000 orders: Rapid Reviews $209 to $329, Quoli Advanced $100.

So Rapid Reviews is the value pick for small and mid sized stores that want every feature, while Quoli becomes the cheaper option as volume grows past roughly 800 to 1,000 orders a month.

Collecting reviews

Both apps send automated review request emails after purchase, and both send reminders. Rapid Reviews describes multi staged requests with discounts, plus AMP email technology so customers can leave a review directly inside Gmail or Yahoo without opening a new page. That is a small detail with a real effect on response rates, and Quoli does not list an equivalent.

Quoli covers more channels: post purchase emails, onsite forms, review links and QR codes, which suits stores that ship physical inserts or sell at markets. Its App Store listing tags SMS requests, and WhatsApp requests are announced as coming soon on its pricing page. Rapid Reviews lists email and SMS review requests on its developer site.

Review incentives also differ. Rapid Reviews includes after review discounts on every tier. Quoli offers unique fixed or percentage discount codes, but discounts and rewards start on the Starter plan at $10.

Displaying reviews

Widgets and layouts

Quoli advertises more than 20 widgets: carousels, media galleries, grids, tabs, an all reviews page, trust badges, review highlights and AI review summaries on Growth. Rapid Reviews lists star ratings, badges, carousels, media galleries, grid layout, tabs, an all reviews page and review highlights. Both are flexible enough for a standard product page; Quoli simply offers more ready made formats, although one merchant found its design customization limited.

Photo, video and Q&A

Both accept photo reviews and run a questions and answers section. Video reviews are included on all Rapid Reviews plans, while Quoli reserves them for Starter and above. Q&A is free on Quoli and included on every Rapid Reviews tier.

Search and filtering

Rapid Reviews stands out with deep search and filtering on custom attributes, so a shopper can search reviews for "sizing" or filter by a fit attribute. Quoli lists filtering and attributes, but does not describe a full text review search on its listing.

SEO, Google Shopping and ad channels

Both apps add rich snippets so stars can appear in Google search results. For Google Shopping, the difference is the tier: Rapid Reviews includes the Google Shopping integration on every plan and lists Google Merchant Center among its integrations, while Quoli includes its Google Shopping feed from Growth at $30.

Quoli goes further on social ads. It lists Meta and TikTok integrations, Meta catalog ratings on Growth, and tools that turn reviews into ad creatives. Rapid Reviews does not list Meta, TikTok or UGC ad tools.

AI features

Rapid Reviews offers an optional AI helper on review capture pages to help customers write their review, and lists ChatGPT among its integrations. Quoli makes AI a central layer: AI review summaries and sentiment analysis on Growth, then AI replies, answers to questions, an insights agent and confidence based moderation on Advanced. If you want AI to draft your replies, Quoli is the one built for it, at a higher price.

Integrations

Quoli lists Klaviyo, Meta, TikTok, AfterShip, Google Shopping, Shopify Flow and Checkout. Rapid Reviews lists Shopify Flow, Gmail, Google Shopping, Merchant Center, Gorgias, Discounts and ChatGPT. Klaviyo is not listed on the Rapid Reviews App Store page, and Gorgias is not listed on Quoli's. Pick based on the tools you already run: a Klaviyo heavy store leans Quoli, a support team on Gorgias leans Rapid Reviews.

Page speed

Rapid Reviews publishes specific speed claims (about 12 KB, one request, stars in roughly 0.4 seconds). Quoli does not publish comparable figures. Both carry the Built for Shopify badge, which means both passed Shopify's performance requirements, so neither should be a problem on a typical theme. If Core Web Vitals are a top priority, Rapid Reviews is the app that makes performance its main promise.

Three store profiles

A new candle shop with 15 orders a month

The owner wants a few photo reviews and stars on product pages. Quoli Free covers that for $0 with Q&A and rich snippets. Rapid Reviews would cost $3 and add video reviews. Here Quoli is the logical start, as long as the store stays under 100 orders.

A cycling parts store with 350 orders and Google Shopping ads

This store needs product ratings in Google Shopping to improve ad click rates. Rapid Reviews delivers that for $8 a month with video, Q&A, deep search and after review discounts. Matching it on Quoli means the Growth plan at $30. Rapid Reviews is the better value.

A skincare brand with 3,000 orders running Meta ads

This brand wants to reuse reviews as ad creatives and sync with Klaviyo. Quoli Growth at $30 covers UGC ads, AI summaries, Meta catalog ratings and the Google Shopping feed. Rapid Reviews would cost $99 and does not list UGC ad tools. Quoli is the clear choice.

Migrating from one to the other

Both apps list import and export plus review migration, and merchant reviews mention moving to each of them from Judge.me. Quoli includes free white glove migration on paid plans and says its team handles export, import, widget setup and redirects. Rapid Reviews includes installation support on every tier and custom white glove installation from the $99 tier.

A safe migration path:

  1. Export all reviews (with photos and questions) from the current app as a CSV.
  2. Install the new app during its trial (21 days for Rapid Reviews, 14 for Quoli) and import the file.
  3. Check review counts, photos and verified badges on a few product pages before removing anything.
  4. Swap the theme app blocks, then confirm only one app outputs rich snippets, to avoid duplicate structured data.
  5. Reconnect the Google Merchant Center product ratings feed if you use Google Shopping.
  6. Uninstall the old app only once the new widgets are live and review requests are scheduled.
