The full comparison
Search the Shopify App Store for quantity breaks and two names keep showing up next to each other: Kaching Bundles and Wide Bundles. Both put a stack of tier cards above the add to cart button (buy 1, buy 2 and save, buy 3 and save more), both carry the Built for Shopify badge, and both start at exactly $14.99 a month. From a distance they look interchangeable. Up close, they are built on different bets.
Kaching Bundles, launched in August 2022, has grown into an offer platform: bundles, but also gifts, warranties, shipping protection, subscription boxes and AI recommendations, with sister apps for the cart, subscriptions and pop-ups. It now shows 6,372 reviews at 5.0, one of the largest review counts in the bundle category.
Wide Bundles, from developer Mat De Sousa, has been listed since August 2020. It stays close to the original job: quantity breaks, BOGO, mix and match and gifts, with A/B testing and every feature unlocked on every plan. It shows 321 reviews at 4.9.
This page compares them on what each App Store listing actually states, checked on October 17, 2026. Where a feature is missing from a listing, we say so rather than guess.
The offer engine
Quantity breaks and pricing logic
On the core job, the two are level. Both let you pick eligible products or collections, set tiers, and discount each tier by a percentage, a fixed amount or a set price. Wide Bundles also spells out single product and multi product quantity breaks, which matters if you want "buy any 3 from this collection" rather than "buy 3 of this exact item". For tier design itself (how deep the second and third discount should go), our guide on bundle pricing without killing margin applies to both apps the same way.
Mix and match, BOGO and gifts
Both listings include mix and match bundles and buy one get one pricing, and both can attach a gift to an offer. So if your plan is a classic "pick 3 flavors, get 15% off" or "buy 2, get the third free", either app covers it. If you have not built one before, our walkthrough on setting up mix and match bundles and our look at whether BOGO still converts are good starting points.
What Kaching adds on top
This is where the gap opens. Kaching lists warranties, shipping protection, gift wrap, product add-ons, priority processing, subscription upgrades, subscription boxes and AI product recommendations. None of these appear on the Wide Bundles App Store page. If your offer block needs to say "add 2-year protection for $4" or "subscribe and save on the 3-pack", Kaching does it in the same widget.
Wide Bundles answers with one item Kaching does not list: discount stacking. If you run a sitewide code during a sale and want it to combine with a tier discount, Wide Bundles names that capability directly. On Kaching, it is not listed, which does not prove it is impossible, only that you should ask support before relying on it.
Design and testing
Kaching describes its editor as drag and drop with custom CSS and HTML, plus multiple layouts and "endless customization". Wide Bundles counts 100+ customization options and also accepts custom code. In practice, both can be made to match a theme; Kaching gives more layout freedom, Wide Bundles gives a long list of settings in a simpler frame.
A/B testing is the more interesting point. Both have it, but Wide Bundles states that every plan includes all features, so a store on the $14.99 Basic plan can already test two tier structures against each other. With a 14-day trial, you can run a full test before paying anything. Kaching's 7-day trial is shorter, which leaves less time for a test to reach a meaningful sample on a low traffic store.
For international stores, Kaching lists multi-currency and multi-language. Wide Bundles lists currency conversion; translation tools for the storefront text are not listed on its App Store page. Both apps' admin interfaces come in several languages (nine for Kaching, eight for Wide Bundles).
Integrations
Both work with PageFly and GemPages, and the Foxify page builder documents both as built-in extensions, so landing pages built with these tools are covered either way. Kaching also lists EComposer, Instant, Hydrogen and the 2048 Variants app, plus UpCart and its own Kaching Cart.
Two integrations split them cleanly:
- Cash on delivery. Wide Bundles lists EasySell and Releasit, the two COD form apps many dropshippers use. If your checkout runs through a COD form instead of Shopify's checkout, this is a concrete reason to lean Wide Bundles. No COD form app is listed on Kaching's page.
- Shopify POS. Kaching lists POS under Works with. Wide Bundles does not. If you run a shop or market stand alongside your online store, Kaching is the one that states it.
One more angle: every app you add loads its own scripts. If you already plan to use Kaching's cart or subscription apps, staying in one vendor can be simpler. If you prefer to keep things light, our piece on app bloat and site speed is worth a read.
Pricing, plan by plan
Neither app has a free plan for a live store: both are free only on development stores. Both cap each plan by the additional revenue the app generates per billing cycle.
Extra revenue per month | Kaching Bundles | Wide Bundles |
|---|---|---|
Up to $500 | Starter, $14.99 | Basic, $14.99 |
Up to $1,000 | Starter, $14.99 | Standard, $19.99 |
Up to $2,000 | Scale, $29.99 | Advanced, $24.99 |
Up to $5,000 | Scale, $29.99 | No plan listed |
Up to $10,000 | Pro, $59.99 | No plan listed |
Read the table by your own numbers. Under $500 of extra revenue, it is a tie. Between $500 and $1,000, Kaching is $5 cheaper. Between $1,000 and $2,000, Wide Bundles is $5 cheaper. Above $2,000, Wide Bundles does not list a plan on its App Store page, so a fast-growing store should contact the developer before committing.
Kaching also sells annual plans: $131.88 a year for Starter (about $10.99 a month), $263.88 for Scale and $539.88 for Pro. Wide Bundles does not list annual billing. For a store that knows it will stay under $1,000 of extra revenue for a year, Kaching annual is the cheapest option on this page.
On support, both list live chat; Wide Bundles specifies 7/7. The French locale of Kaching's listing notes that the developer does not provide direct support in French, a detail worth knowing for French-speaking teams.
Reviews and track record
Kaching's 6,372 reviews at 5.0 are hard to ignore. Wide Bundles' 321 reviews at 4.9 are a smaller sample, but a very solid one for an app that has been on the store since 2020. Neither number tells you how the app behaves on your theme, which is why both trials are worth using on a duplicate theme first.
Three stores, three picks
A single-product store running paid traffic
One hero product, Meta ads, around $1,200 a month of revenue coming from the 2-pack and 3-pack tiers. Here the job is simple tiers plus constant testing. Wide Bundles fits: A/B tests from the first plan, a 14-day trial to run the first test, and the Advanced plan at $24.99 versus $29.99 for Kaching Scale at that revenue level.
A supplement brand selling refills
Capsules sold in 1, 3 and 6 month packs, with a subscribe and save option and shipping protection at checkout. Kaching Bundles is the natural pick: subscription boxes, subscription pricing and shipping protection are all listed in one app, and annual billing lowers the monthly cost once the setup is proven.
A COD dropshipping store
Orders come through an EasySell or Releasit form, not Shopify's checkout. Quantity offers need to carry through to that form. Wide Bundles lists both integrations by name, Kaching does not, so Wide Bundles is the safer starting point. Test the full flow during the trial either way.
Moving from one app to the other
There is no import tool listed on either side, so a switch means rebuilding your offers by hand. The work is manageable:
- Write down each live offer: products, tiers, discount type, labels and badges.
- Install the new app and build the same offers on a duplicate theme.
- Match the visual style, then preview on mobile, where tier cards are most cramped.
- Disable the old app's widget, publish the new one and place a few test orders, including with discount codes.
- Uninstall the old app and check that no leftover block remains in the theme editor.
Keep both apps for no more than a day or two: running two tier widgets on the same product page confuses shoppers and makes discount behavior unpredictable.
A third option
If you also need a cart drawer, sticky add to cart or payment icons, an all-in-one app can replace several installs. ConvertX includes a Bundles module (quantity offers, 1-2-3 packs) alongside upsells, a cart drawer and sticky add to cart, from $19.99/month for up to $1,000 of extra revenue with 4 active modules. It is honest to say it is a young app (launched September 2025), with few reviews and no Built for Shopify badge yet, and it does not list mix and match or buy X get Y offers. For pure quantity breaks with deep offer options, Kaching Bundles and Wide Bundles remain the more proven choices. For a wider overview of the category, see our best Shopify bundle apps in 2026.
Frequently asked questions
For quantity breaks alone, they are on par: both handle tiers, percentage, fixed amount and set price discounts, mix and match and BOGO. Kaching Bundles is better if you also want gifts, warranties, shipping protection, subscriptions or Shopify POS in the same app. Wide Bundles is better value if you want every feature and A/B testing on the cheapest plan, a 14-day trial, or a lower price between $1,000 and $2,000 of extra revenue.
No. Both apps are free to install and free on Shopify development stores, but a live store needs a paid plan once the trial ends. Kaching Bundles offers a 7-day trial, Wide Bundles a 14-day trial. Both start at $14.99 a month, billed in US dollars.
It depends on the extra revenue the app generates. Up to $500 a month, both cost $14.99. Up to $1,000, Kaching Starter ($14.99) beats Wide Bundles Standard ($19.99). Up to $2,000, Wide Bundles Advanced ($24.99) beats Kaching Scale ($29.99). Kaching also has annual plans from $131.88 a year, which Wide Bundles does not list.
The Wide Bundles App Store page lists three plans, the highest covering up to $2,000 of additional revenue per month, and does not show a plan above it. If you expect to exceed that, ask the developer through the in-app live chat before you scale. Kaching lists plans up to $10,000 of additional revenue.
Yes. Wide Bundles lists both EasySell and Releasit as integrations on its App Store page, along with Monster Upsells, PageFly and GemPages. Kaching Bundles does not list a COD form app, so if your orders go through a COD form, test the flow carefully during the trial.
Yes, both App Store listings include mix and match among their bundle types, along with fixed bundles, multipacks and variant bundles. Kaching additionally lists subscription boxes and wholesale bundles.
ConvertX combines a Bundles module (quantity offers and 1-2-3 packs) with upsells, a cart drawer, sticky add to cart and payment icons, from $19.99/month with a 7-day trial. It launched in September 2025, has few reviews and does not list mix and match or buy X get Y, so it suits stores that value fewer apps over the deepest bundle options.
How we compare
We make ConvertX, so we have a side. We still try to be fair: every price and feature here comes from the apps’ own listings and docs (see sources), we say where another app is the better pick, and we update pages when apps change.
